I offer classes in smocking, embroidery, heirloom sewing and silk ribbon embroidery.   All class fees include materials unless kit fees are noted.  Classes change monthly so check to see if there is something you're interested in.   I will always try to accommodate customers if they are asking for a certain class or a  technique they would like to learn.

Picture Smocking:    Learn to stack cables while smocking a simple design on a smocked inset that can be used in a future garment.   Learn to get the best results, change colors mid row and review backsmocking.   1/17  11-3  $24.00

pincushion.JPG (101841 bytes)Ultimate Pincushion:  This class will teach you some basic silk ribbon stitches while making a silk dupioni pincushion that can hold 6 spools of thread 2 weeks 1/18 and 1/25 11-2  $26.00.

vpbuttons and bits.jpg (16038 bytes)Yoke Dress Variations:  This dress "Buttons and Bits" from Vaune Pierce was seen in Classic Sewing fall.  We will do this dress using royal blue check and white pique fabric piped in the check fabric for collar, cuffs and tab.  The simple smocking and dress are embellished with tiny buttons.  2 weeks  1/24, abd 1/31  $70.00 Machine required.

Paperdoll Quilt:    This is a block of the month class using the patterns from Kreations by Karon.  Each month we will construct a doll dress appliqued to a pima broadcloth square and sashed with a coordinating fabric. Some are smocked, some are not.   This is a good start to beginning smocking.  Each month is different. This is a class that a lot of people have asked me to restart.   Offered 2 days per month  1/10  or Saturday 1/13  11-2  $23.00.

Stitch-in:  Need help finishing a project such as your wool blanket, smocking, quilt squares or other project.    Come and stitch with uninterrupted time away from the hustle and bustle of life.  Any project to work on will do.  1/4, 1/6 or 2/1 11-2  No charge.
