I offer classes in smocking, embroidery, heirloom sewing and silk ribbon embroidery.   All class fees include materials unless kit fees are noted.  Classes change monthly so check to see if there is something you're interested in.   I will always try to accommodate customers if they are asking for a certain class or a  technique they would like to learn.

Now offering a new larger classroom.


Beginning Smocking:  In this class you will learn basic stitches while smocking an inset that can be used in a child's dress.  You will be using a beginning geometric smocking design plate with colors of your choice. You will learn how to read a graph as well as construction and blocking tips.  All supplies included.  9/8 and 9/29  11-3   $30.00   (Next month a class on yoke dress construction using your inset will be offered.)

Paperdoll Quilt:    This is a block of the month class using the patterns from Kreations by Karon.  Each month we will construct a doll dress appliqued to a pima broadcloth square and sashed with a coordinating fabric. Some are smocked, some are not.   This is a good start to beginning smocking.  Each month is different.   9/5  11-2  $23.00.  For those who need to finish squares please come for help.

Stitch-in:  Need help finishing a project such as your wool blanket, smocking, quilt squares or other project.    Come and stitch with uninterrupted time away from the hustle and bustle of life.  Any project to work on will do.  9/6     11-2  No charge.

smocked angle.jpg (174470 bytes) Smocked Heirloom Angel Ornament:  This beautiful satin batiste angel with smocked and bead embellished wings is edged with delicate French lace.  Sure to be a beauty on your tree or for a special gift. Can be done white on white or with colors.  Two weeks  9/13 and 9/27  11-3  $35.00

Heirloom Slip and Panties:   Do they make slips anymore??   This a-line slip from white pima cotton batiste is trimmed in lace with delicate hand shell embroidered edging and shadow work bow.  It also has a matching double seat embroidered  panty with lace trimmed legs. You will learn to do shadow work embroidery and the shell embroidered edge as well as basic heirloom sewing techniques. Two weeks 9/12 and 9/26. 11-3  $55.00 All materials and pattern included, size your choice.
