I offer classes in smocking, embroidery, heirloom sewing and silk ribbon embroidery. All class fees include materials unless kit fees are noted. Classes change monthly so check to see if there is something you're interested in. I will always try to accommodate customers if they are asking for a certain class or a technique they would like to learn.

Spargo, Yazzi Bag Bizarre: Were combining 2 fabulous ideas. We will be making a wool applique panel using a Sue Spargo design of your choice either from Inspirations Magazine or one of her patterns here in the shop. We will then applique this to the top of a maroon Yazzi craft organizer that is loaded with pockets and compartments for all your sewing goodies. This will be a great learning project to incorporate many of Sue's fabulous stitches into your bag. 7/13, 7/20, and 7/27 11-2. Yazzi Bag, wool, and embroidery threads provided. $64.00.
Delicate Daydreams Infant or Preemie Daygown: This beautiful daygown incorporates a lace bodice above release tucks. This dress can be made from Imperial Batiste, Lawn, or Satin Batiste. A beautiful dress for a wee-care gown or coming home from the hospital. 7/14, 7/21, and 7/28 11-3. Machine required. $68.00.
Smocked Baby Bonnet: Learn basic smocking stitches while making a pre-finished bonnet. All lace, construction and pleating are completed. Smock, add the ribbon ties and you have a finished project. 7/15 11-3 $25.00.
Silk Ribbon Needle Book: This silk dupioni needle book is embellished with silk ribbon flowers and leaves. Wool felt pages to keep your needles in, twisted cord to the edge and a mother of pearl button close the book. A great additions to your sewing basket. Color your choice 7/22, 7/29 $28.00
Heirloom Sewing Basics: This notebook class is designed to teach you to join laces, work with entredeux, gather laces, do pintucks and puffing and more. You will stitch samples of techniques and place them into your notebook along with your machine settings to have as a future reference for heirloom sewing projects. A great class that is one of my favorites to teach. 7/24 11-2 $26.00. Machine required.
Picture Smocking: Learn how to stack cables to get the best results in picture smocking. You will choose a simple design plate and smock this onto an inset of white broadcloth that can be inserted into a future garment or project. Saturday 7/17 and 7/24 11-2 $25.00 All materials included.
