I offer classes in smocking, embroidery, heirloom sewing and silk ribbon embroidery. All class fees include materials unless kit fees are noted. Classes change monthly so check to see if there is something you're interested in. I will always try to accommodate customers if they are asking for a certain class or a technique they would like to learn.

Beginning Smocking: Learn basic smocking stitches (cable, trellis, outline, stem, flowerettes, French knots, and lazy daisy) on a pleated inset. Basic construction tips and how to read a smocking graph are covered. 3/7 11-2 $22.00
Yoke dress Variations: This month we will be doing Emma's Smocked Baby Dress from Old Fashioned Baby. This dress will be done from satin batiste in the color of your choice. The bodice is embroidered and the yoke is smocked with a simple design. The back of the dress features tucks and buttons down the back. The hem is embellished with lace insertion and embroidery. A beautiful baby dress. Infant sizes to 12 months. 3 weeks, machine required. Kit includes fabric, laces, mop buttons, floss and pattern. $78.00. 3/14, 3/21 and 3/28 11-3.
Drawn Thread Pincushion: This pincushion will teach you the basics of drawn thread work with a variety of different stitches. It is backed with silk dupioni and finished with a beaded edge. 3/22 and 3/29 11-2 $25.00
Smocked sampler: This beginners class will teach you basic stitches as well as a touch of picture smocking. This is a sampler that can be put into a garment as an inset. 2 weeks Saturdays 3/24 and 3/31 11-2 $28.00
Paperdoll Quilt: This is a block of the month class using the patterns from Kreations by Karon. Each month we will construct a doll dress appliqued to a pima broadcloth square and sashed with a coordinating fabric. Some are smocked, some are not. This is a good start to beginning smocking. Each month is different. 3/15 11-2 $23.00.
